Episode 25 – What’s Happening in the Coast Guard?

John O’Mahony talks about his service in the Coast Guard, the upset caused to volunteers dismissed from Units in local areas, the level of communications and the difficulties in contacts between management and volunteers. Outlining why the new association has been set up, he says these issues are are creating operational problems in a vital maritime lifesaving service. The programme also asks – Are seagulls losing the run of themselves and reports on how anglers cope with weather changes.
